Murdery Mystery Dinner

Looking for a fun and easy party theme to get all your friends together? Wishing you could bring all your friends to a Murder Mystery Dinner but the price tag is a bit too steep?

Why not bring the Murder Mystery Dinner to your own home? That’s exactly what we did for a friend’s birthday party!  To get all the guests in the right party mood, we asked everyone to come dressed in their best 1920’s attire. Lucky for us, some of the era’s fashion came back in style so most of the guests had some in their personal wardrobe to throw on. The decor was very simple set in a black, red, and white color scheme.  Vases and votive candles were from a previous party and purchased from ikea on clearance for 50 cents each. Rose petals were purchased from the local dollar store and flowers from the nearest grocery store. The main attraction was our own murder mystery case to solve. We have some theatrical characters in our group who were more than happy to take part in our little drama skit. If you don’t have a group willing to put together a murder mystery drama, then you can always have your guests join in on a game of Clue or watch the movie Clue {one of my favorite movies when I was younger}. Either way, there are so many avenues to entertainment your guests with this theme.
