Eat. Drink. Play Ball!

My sister-in-law and her husband were happily expecting their second child, a baby boy. Since dad-to-be is a huge sports fan, we decided that the perfect baby shower theme would be an All-Star Baby Shower. We chose a vintage color scheme of light blue, red and white. Most of the table decor was repurposed from previous events with the addition of mini sports balls, peanuts, and handmade team flags. The walls were decorated with different team jerseys while the football goal post, one of our game props, served as the focal point of the room. Every last detail set the mood for one exciting sports filled baby shower.

Party Highlights:

• Being that dad’s favorite teams are the Cowboys and Dodgers, we created a custom invite incorporating both team’s logos.
• Handmade team flags with baby’s first initial “W” decorated the room.
• A hand carved watermelon football helmet was the perfect detail to our fruit tray.
• Guests were sent home with baby blue bottles tied with red ribbons and filled with Baby Ruth chocolates as party favors.
• Tables were decorated with diaper cakes and popcorn tub centerpieces incorporating all the major sports: baseball, football and basketball.
• Guests were treated to a “Tailgate” menu filled with game day food and a “Snack Bar” brimming with salty and sweet snacks and desserts to munch on throughout the party.
